While I was hanging out at the CFC January 2009 -- I also met director Sturla Gunnarsson who was working on a film that is now launching across Canada. I had the pleasure of working on an early marketing strategy with Janice Tufford, and am thrilled that now I can go see the film on the big screen at VIFF. I'm also excited to see how the Suzuki Foundation will use the film as part of their 20th Anniversary year.

A DRUMMER'S DREAM AT VIFF
I had the pleasure of meeting filmmaker John Walker when Mark Achbar and I did a workshop a year and a half ago at the Candian Film Centre. At the time he was working on his new film -- A Drummer's Dream, and now it's screening at VIFF Monday October 4, 6:30 pm, and Wednesday October 6 at 3Pm!

“A Drummer’s Dream (directed by John Walker) is about half a dozen of the best drummers in the world, who are invited to a barn in cottage country in Ontario, where they perform and give classes. It’s remarkably introspective for a film about drumming.” Vancouver Sun.
