Hello Cool World at Media Democracy Day!

Media Democracy Day - a day of action, activism, dialogue and connection, is happening this Saturday, November 6 in Vancouver and we are thrilled to be a part!
To get excited for Media Democracy Day a lovely member of the MDD team came to the Hello Cool World headquarters to interview David and I about the importance of events like Media Democracy Day and to celebrate our Fair Trade Distribution model and motto of Ideas to Audiences, Audiences to Action, Action to Outcome. Watch our interview! (Picture above).
Hailing from the mountain town of Salt Lake City, Utah, Lizzy enjoys picnics, reading on a lazy Sunday morning and adventurous bike rides. After learning about books at the University of Toronto she now calls Vancouver home. She joined Hello Cool World as a member of the LACE campaign action team, and luckily for us, decided to stick around.

#IranElection is trending topic on twitter again. 30 years after the Takeover of the US embassy and hostage taking in Tehran, the green movement hijacked the traditionally govn't sanctioned event. Photos and videos are pouring in from the demonstrations that have been going on. Reza Sayah was on CNN (now on Youtube) -he describes what has been going on. And for a great history of US-Iran relationship going back to the pre-Shah era check out this short youtbube mini-doc.

Important in it's own right, the twitter 'revolution' that #iranelection is a shining example of, is also a great case study for the power of social media in the struggle for media democracy. HelloCoolWorld will be at this Saturday's Media Democracy Day in Vancouver.
