Hello Cool World has been working with peace & justice NGO Inter Pares for over two years now and we really believe in the work they do and the way they do it. They take a grassroots approach to structural change, which strongly appeals to us. They were early supporters of The Corporation and by working with us to develop their campaigns, they continue to support all the work we do.
Usually we don’t ask for direct donations but if you’re thinking about making a charitable donation this year or looking for a meaningful gift, please consider Inter Pares’ Give Something Big campaign. And if you have a little time to spread the word about the campaign -- that would thrill us too!
Give Something Big raises funds for organizations working towards social transformation, while offering an ethical and environmentally friendly alternative to holiday consumerism for people who care about peace and justice. Projects that are supported by the campaign include:

Make a donation to Give Something Big before Christmas and we'll enter you into a draw to win the DVD of your choice from our Hello Cool Stuff webstore. After you make your donation, email your name and address to outreach AT hellocoolworld.com with the subject line “I just gave something big!” and we’ll contact the winner before Jan 1st.
It’s been a tough year for all non-profits and even if you aren’t able to donate, we’d like to ask for your help in getting the word out about our campaign. Here’s what you can do:
- Let your friends know that they can support a good cause and send holiday cards at www.GiveSomethingBig.com. Because every bit counts and even $10 will allow you to send 10 cards! You can also use those 10 cards to tell your friends about the campaign and encourage them to take part.
- Share the Give Something Big video with your friends.
- Join the "Friends of Inter Pares" Facebook group and invite your friends to do the same.
- Join the trending holiday chatter on Twitter and post a link to www.GiveSomethingBig.com

Colette joined Hello Cool World team back in 2003 and was a key organizer for The Corporation and The Take's grassroots outreach efforts across North America. After being inspired by the organizing and awareness building potential of the internet and social issue films, she returned to school to study Communications and sharpen her skills. Once graduating, Colette returned to Hello Cool World once again as a grassroots campaign consultant. She is now the Director of Distribution for Hello Cool World's new fair trade distribution arm.
