The cool google map on LACE campaign site shows you where. There are going to be treats too, and rumour has it Ethical Bean is making doughnuts now and is on board as our official LACE doughnut supplier (cuz your cervix looks like a doughnut...; ) If you want to get involved email Lizzy: outreach@LACEcampaign.com

TAPPED

Check out the offical film site.

We're excited to be a community partner for Projecting Change's Screening of Tapped on Saturday morning at 5th Ave Cinema. (there's breakfast included!) Check out the trailer!

Water rights issues are something I've felt passionate about - we hope to do something around the films that are taking on water issues. We're giving away a copy of the DVD Blue Gold which we carry on our webstore as a draw at the screening.

SEXMONEYMEDIA

This international symposium takes on an extremely important topic -- women in the media. Put on by Women in View -- whose goal is to recharge the issue of gender equity; and to develop contemporary, action-based strategies that can be implemented across a broad spectrum of production, policy and artistic arenas. Read more about Women in Views mission and mandate on their site.

HEALTH FOR HUMANITY

We love H4H! Since we worked with them last year we have been following their work in Guatmala and the Philippines. Their benefit concert was sold out last year, so don't delay and get your tickets now!

Besides doing the surgeries in these countries, they are exploring creative ways to promote public heatlh. Co-founder Cindy Masaro, who is also a nurse at the BC CDC STI clinic,  has been coming to our HCW theory salons, and we are exctited to be also working with her to provide web tools for her PHD research around women in Canada and risk taking behaviour.  Stay tuned in the new year for more on that project!

OK that gets us through the weekend... more on Monday!
