In the Hello Cool World spirit of 'multi-causing' a term coined last year by Lizzy & David, we're sharing our table with our fabulous Immunity Advocates we met creating the content for ImmunizeBC's new campaign - IHaveImmunity.com. Pictured in our banner are Audra and her daughter Alexandria who are making an appearance today at our info table! You can also watch the video we made of their familiy's story on the site.

Hello Cool World is proud to have worked on both campaigns and to make the link between Mothers and Daughters. Moms need regular Paps to protect their health, but now there is a vaccine that will protect their daughters against HPV, the cause of cervical cancer.

Audra and her aunt Laura are strong believers in the HPV vaccine, for good reason: Gisel, Audra’s mother and Laura’s older sister, died from cervical cancer at only 38.
Cervical cancer is very treatable when detected early by Pap testing: 12,000 procedures are done each year in BC to stop pre-cancerous cervical changes from advancing. But now thousands of women can avoid the pain and discomfort of treatment thanks to the HPV vaccine, which protects against the viruses that cause 70% of cervical cancer cases.
Audra’s 11-year-old daughter, Alexandria, will receive her vaccine this year. Laura’s daughter, Amanda, is now 14 and was one of the first girls vaccinated through an HPV study at BC Children’s Hospital in 2007. In this video they share their story.
