Fierce Light Opens in Canadian Cities Friday May 15

Hi,
I'm very pleased to announce that Velcrow Ripper's excellent new film "Fierce Light: When Spirit Meets Action" will be the first of four theatrical feature documentaries that I've helped produce to hit mainstream movie theatres. A substantial portion of the film's budget came from my "performance envelope", a special fund set up by Telefilm Canada to recognize The Corporation's box office success.
This is the best weekend to see Fierce Light if you possibly can. The future of this film in Canada will be decided in just these few days. It's an insane system, but distributors decide how long to run a film based on the strength of its opening weekend box office. And please tear your friends away from their computer screens long enough to get them into the theatres too.
The film has been getting some terrific press and won the NFB's Most Popular Canadian Film Award at the Vancouver International Film Festival.
