1: The dulcet tones of Gordon Downie of the Tragically Hip. 2: The series Cod: The Fish that Saved the World; The Falls; and McLuhan’s Wake... which really only has a water related theme in it's title... 3: Sigur Ros, Sam Roberts, and of course The Tragically Hip 4: Great Lakes United, The Council Of Canadians, and Georgian Bay Forever (We have a cottage near Penetanguishene and this organization and it's statement couldn't be any more accurate)

The Narrator is Gord Downie; 3 Band featured in the film are Sam Roberts, Sufjan Stevens, and Brian Eno. Other films by Kevin McMahon are McLuhan's Wake, In the Reign of Twilight, and The Falls. I really hope I win because I am stoked to show this to my environmental science students next semester and have a screening during Earth Week through our Peace Studies Club. Wish me luck!--Peace

The narrator is Gordon Downie from the Tragically Hip. I can't wait for this movie to be released in the US. I am an advocate of water quality and work with Doug Martz (he spoke in the movie about the canal drying up in his backyard at his home on Lake St. Clair) and am always promoting knowledge and educating the public of the status of our lakes/rivers. This movie, even though I have only watched it 1 time, is an amazing and accurate effort that I hope reaches everyone affected by the Great Lakes waters. I would love to see a U.S. premier for this movie in Macomb County, Michigan where Lake St. Clair users and residents can be aware of the seriousness of the problems and start reversing the damage.

Brilliant film! Will shake you and wake you and be sure to never take water for granted again. Narrated by Gord Downie, with music featuring Robbie Robertson, Brian Eno, Sam Roberts Band, Daniel Lanois, and Philip Glass. Partners include ecojustice and Council of Canadians.

This film is brilliantly narrated by Gord Downie from The Tragically Hip’s. Sam Roberts, Sufjan Stevens, Sigur Ros, Robbie Robertson and Brian Eno are some of the talents that have contributed to the music on this film.
