Success for Health For Humanity! Sold out Concert!
By
Katherine Dodds
Sunday's fantastic concert at the Chan Centre was a sold-out success. Since Notes of Compassion (AKA musicians of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra reaching out), Maestro Bramwell Tovey, and the duet-ing duo of world renowned pianists Jon Kimura Parker and Ian Parker all performed for free, it is great to know that Health For Humanity will be the beneficiary of all the ticket sales. To find out more about what H4H does check out their website.
We were also really pleased to be able to see the video we did for them debut on the "large screen" at the lovely Chan Centre as well as to see the new logo on the new banner.
We will be following H4H as they embark on their next surgical mission to Guatemala on November 6, as well as some new projects like the water filtration project. With our own Hello Cool World connection to sexual health education, we are also very eager to keep in touch with what they will be doing around the use of popular theatre to education around HIV/STI awareness.
