3,146,398. That's the number of people who, at last count, were part of projections lighting up key buildings in Washington, D.C. last night with messages against TPP secrecy. The international Stop The Secrecy campaign registered a huge victory and sent a clear message to negotiators that fast tracking the deal would meet with opposition. A lot of it.
Now, US Senator Ron Wyden, an important player in the Democratic party, has come out against trade secrecy saying, "Bringing the American people into full and open debates on trade agreements that have the effect of law is not too much to ask.” No kidding.
