3.1 Million Citizens Unite Against TPP Secrecy

By Sandy Haksi

3,146,398. That's the number of people who, at last count, were part of projections lighting up key buildings in Washington, D.C. last night with messages against TPP secrecy. The international Stop The Secrecy campaign registered a huge victory and sent a clear message to negotiators that fast tracking the deal would meet with opposition. A lot of it.

TPP projection in Washington

Now, US Senator Ron Wyden, an important player in the Democratic party, has come out against trade secrecy saying, "Bringing the American people into full and open debates on trade agreements that have the effect of law is not too much to ask.” No kidding.

StopTheSecrecy.net is still collecting signatures or show your support by sharing the good news and help it go viral.

We think this opposition to the TPP is one more reason why The Corporation is still as relevant today as it way 10 years ago. Do you agree? Let us know in our 10 Year Anniversary campaign survey.
