Onyx Quilting Project

The Onyx Youth Group - Quilting Project, has developed two quilts which will be used to help raise awareness to stop the sexual exploitation of youth. The project was wonderfully facilitated by Mary, with Onyx Youth Worker Jordana lending a hand. Each youth that participated was able to contribute some of their own ideas and creativity. During the two sessions, the group learned to cut, sew, style and design a number of textiles. The end result was a multicoloured, rectangular quilt and a heart themed box quilt. These quilts will be shown around the province as education and awareness material and will also be used in the upcoming Onyx Youth Group - Graphics Design.
